Specifications of Redmi Note 8 (2021) have appeared online via the FCC listing. Although Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Note 10 series in the Indian market, it is trying to update a couple of older phones with new specifications. The new Redmi Note 8 (2021) has been reportedly spotted on several certification sites such as the FCC and EEC, hinting that work on it may still be ongoing. Key specs of the phone have also been leaked online through social media informers. The Redmi Note 8 (2021) is reportedly powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.
Katzper Skzipek from XDA Developers switched to Twitter share this new Xiaomi A phone with model number M1908C3JGG has been spotted on the FCC certification site. This model number is associated with Redmi Note 8 (2021)– later added a tagger with a link to “one of the Xiaomi pages”. The FCC listing says the phone can be powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, has a 4,000mAh battery, and runs MIUI 12.5. The same model number was also spotted according to European certification EEC.
Xiaomiui Tipster goes on to tweet that Redmi Note 8 (2021) will not launch in India, Indonesia and Turkey. Its codename is assumed to be Biloba, and it will most likely be launched in the global market, the EEA and Russian markets. Leaked specs, hint further repeats that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and have a 4000mAh battery. The phone is reported to support 22.5W fast charging.
The rear of the Redmi Note 8 (2021) is expected to have a quad camera that will likely include a 48MP main sensor, an ultra-wide angle sensor, another depth sensor, and a tele-macro lens. Redmi Note 8 (2021) will have a Full-HD + display with a 60Hz refresh rate, although Xiaomiui also spotted See also links to 120Hz refresh rate.
