GAS CITY – As a result of the Israeli air raid in the Gaza Strip, a high-rise building was destroyed, which housed several offices of international media.
The airstrike came about an hour after the Israeli military ordered people to leave the building.
There was no immediate explanation for why the building was targeted.
This followed an overnight Israeli airstrike that killed at least 10 family members in a refugee camp in Gaza, and continued ethnic unrest in the State of Israel between Jews and Arabs.
Massive Palestinian protests also took place in the occupied West Bank on Friday, in which at least 10 people were shot and killed by Israeli forces.
Palestinians celebrate Nakba Day on Saturday when they commemorate the roughly 700,000 people who fled or were expelled from their homes in what is now Israel during the 1948 creation war, raising the likelihood of further unrest. – Agencies
