New Delhi [India], May 15 (ANI): Union Ministry of Health on Saturday it was reported that the overall positive sentiment rate in India is currently 19.8 percent.
During a health briefing, the Secretary of the Union Ministry of Health Love Agarwal said: “The overall level of positive sentiment in the country, which stood at 21.9 percent last week, has now dropped to 19.8 percent.”
Agarwal also said 11 states had over 1 million active cases and 17 had fewer than 50,000 cases.
“Maharashtra, UP, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh reported declines in active cases. The cause of concern is Tamil Nadu, where there has been an increase in the number of active cases over the past week, ”Agarwal added.
During the briefing, Dr. V.K. Paul, a member of the health department, NITI Aayog, said there are about 1.5 crore doses of COVAXIN produced per month and the government plans to increase production to 10 crore doses per month.
Paul also said that single-dose vaccination coverage is 89 percent among healthcare workers and 82 percent among national frontline workers.
<< Single dose vaccination coverage among health care workers is 95 percent in Rajasthan, 96 percent in Madhya Pradesh and 99 percent in Chhattisgarh. In Delhi, it is 78 percent, 11 percent below the national average. “It should be brought to a level above 95 percent,” Paul said.
“Single vaccination coverage among workers is 93 percent in Gujarat, 91 percent in Rajasthan and 90 percent in Madhya Pradesh. In Delhi the figure is 80 percent, ”he added. (ANI)
