ANGELA Rainer sensationally admitted that even she could have voted for Boris Johnson.
And an explosive blow to her party boss Deputy Head of Labor said Sir Keir Starmer “Knocked me out” – but denied that they fell out.
Ms Reiner said the prime minister smashed Labor’s once impregnable Red Wall because it is “edgy” and “comes across as authentic.”
The deputy said that if she were 18 years old and she decided to get involved in politics, she could be courted Mr Johnson…
She said, “Angie Rayner, 18, would like someone to be a little sharp and ready to throw a grenade.”
She added, “We like a little talkativeness, or someone [who will] upset what is the norm. “
With a thinly veiled sneer at Sir Keir, she said: Boris came across as “authentic,” while too many MPs were stuck in “magnolia politics.”
And, alluding to the raging tensions at the heart of the Labor leadership, she admitted she was in conflict with Starmer.
She said the couple was “like yin and yang,” but denied that they had a massive fight.
She added, “He might push me away from time to time, but that’s a partnership.”

But as a result of a failed Labor reshuffle, Ms. Reiner has been given a higher title and more power than ever.
